Palù, the crochet eyeglass case: the TREND of the moment you need to try.
Palù, the eyeglass case you’ll never leave behind.
Why make it now?
How many times have you searched everywhere for your glasses, only to find them in a different room or realize they had fallen while you were tidying up your desk? I have a solution that’s driving many creatives crazy. Or maybe you have leftover yarn from other projects that you don’t know how to use and don’t want to throw away? If you relate to this, then you’re in the right place!
Today, I present to you the crochet eyeglass case in the shape of a little bear, a creative idea that’s literally going viral on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok!
A Creative and Versatile Project
Imagine having an eyeglass case that not only protects your glasses but is also adorable, unique, and handmade by you. Perfect for yourself, but also a super original gift idea for a friend, colleague, or family member! And if you don’t need an eyeglass case? No problem! This project is so versatile that it can turn into a catch-all tray, a jewelry holder, or a desk pen holder.
Plus, making it is incredibly easy: all you need is some yarn, a crochet hook, and my free PDF pattern, which you can download right away to get started!
How to Make It: Materials and Steps
To create your crochet bear-shaped eyeglass case, I recommend using:
- Leftover yarn.
If you have some leftover yarn at home and don’t know how to use it, Palù is the perfect solution. Grab some yarn suitable for at least a size 5 crochet hook and follow the pattern. You can also consider working with double strands.
- Cord.
A sturdy cord in beige or light brown tones, depending on the eyeglass case you want to create. An orange cord could work for a fox, a gray one for a mouse, and so on.
I chose to use Ternes cord in the sand variant and worked it with a size 6 crochet hook. For the rising edges, I used a size 4.5 crochet hook to give it more structure.

- Yarn scraps for the nose, eyes, or small details.
I used white Chuck yarn, worked double with a size 5 crochet hook.

I chose a small nose and a pair of eyes to give the project a touch of sweetness.
Don’t have any yarn at home? This is the perfect opportunity to buy a spool of cord or some skeins, so you can make other matching accessories! Remember, our website offers free shipping on orders over €19. What do you think? It’s time to fill up your cart!
