Thai Slim Unito. Comfort with Style

Tired of stiffening? With Thai Slim cord, you no longer need to do it!

The great Tessiland research has led to this brand new cord that we wanted to call Thai Slim Unito. Its characteristic that makes it a truly unique product on the market is undoubtedly its structure! In fact, the particular processing makes the cord workable but when finished will give a natural rigidity that will not require reinforcement in net or hardening! In short, technology at the service of our hobby has allowed us to create a truly innovative cord. You just have to try it to understand how easy and revolutionary it is, even for those who don't like to stiffen crocheted works.

Unlike polyester, polypropylene does not have that typical "plastic" effect of some cords. The coil format also guarantees extreme convenience in processing and avoids the annoying lumps of bags. Knots and small weaving defects that do not exceed 5% of the weight of the product must be considered tolerable.

What is Polypropylene?

From a chemical point of view, polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer of propylene (or propene). It could also be said to be a "patriotic" material, as it was born from the research of the Italian engineer Giulio Natta, Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1963 with K. Ziegler. Polypropylene is a very versatile material, which finds wide use as a plastic for food, for example for rigid food containers, such as margarine trays, yogurt pots, plastic cups for coffee or plastic bottle caps, or for tools and accessories such as colanders.

Polypropylene is also used as a packaging material, to produce bags, ropes, strings, and carpet weaves. Even car dashboards, labels on plastic bottles, many laboratory equipment, anti-hail nets, CD cases, disposable syringes, sound-absorbing panels, some sutures for surgical interventions, and many other materials can be made of polypropylene.

By passing the melted polymer through appropriate machinery and nozzles, we also obtain our bag cords, but its use is increasingly important in the field of intimate and technical-sportswear thanks to its hygroscopic characteristics and ease of washing.

Maintenance: washing bags is always a delicate operation that must be evaluated based on the creation. The first thing to consider is related to the accessories that make up the bag and whether they allow for immersion washing, which is not impossible but not recommended. The best procedure is to identify the dirty parts and clean them with ammonia and hot water, tapping gently and evaluating the presence of adjacent contrasting colors that could leave color if cleaned aggressively. This sponging operation is therefore preferable.

An old toothbrush can be used and then rinsed and left to dry away from heat sources.
