Eco-sustainable, economical and rich in colors
The Lumina is a PET Polyester thread. It is a micro-cord with a diameter of about 0.4 mm, composed of multiple threads equal in composition/diameter, joined together. The best compromise between quality, price, and that aspect of eco-sustainability that Tessiland cares so much about.
The appearance of the thread is well compact, with a smooth and shiny touch. It is ideal for works such as: crochet-worked rosary necklaces and crystalline, jewel crochet, Tunisian crochet, needle tatting, micro macramé jewel.
Maintenance: The Lumina is washable in water with the addition of a drop of neutral soap.
Tips: For the choice of crochet: the size of the crochet to use is primarily based on the work. The Lumina 6 typically requires a 1 - 1.25 crochet. Being a thread for Bijoux it is natural to use crystals and beads that will be inserted by working the chains with a not too tight hand.
To insert the beads: the choice of material to insert in the thread should be made based on its diameter. For the Lumina jewelry yarn, choose pearls, resins, crystals, glasses or seed beads with a hole of at least 0.6/08 mm or higher (ideal 1mm). It is also advisable to use the bead threading needle.
