Have you ever looked for a yarn that's gentle on the skin... but really for everyone? A yarn similar to velvet that's easy to work with and doesn't leave those pesky little hairs behind, making it suitable for projects for even the little ones?

Chenille... some curiosities.
Historically used in fashion as a fabric very similar to velvet, it has a unique construction that comes from the combination of a stiffer "carrier" yarn and a very soft yarn that creates the incredibly soft "cloud" you'll feel if you decide to purchase our Avril.
Due to its distinctive structure, we've seen various construction techniques for this unique yarn, which achieves its greatest expression, softness, and shine when produced in acrylic polyester.
And here, there are purist theories that see acrylics as unsuitable for contact with the skin of young children. We belong to the school that doesn't judge a product solely by its composition (although that's important for some types of yarn, of course) but by the production process.
If we're talking about wool, we could share the natural product theory, but chenille is a different story. If it's produced with strict criteria and standards, free from any toxic substances and with all necessary authorizations and certifications for dyeing processes, only a composition like Avril's can achieve a soft, shiny result, with lasting durability and practical garment maintenance.
Particularly suitable for blankets, pajamas, and onesies, as well as slippers, clothing, and accessories for mid-season, Avril is offered at an incredible price because we want to make it a must-have for Tessiland right from the start and shake up the chenille market with the first 24 colors... but if the success is as great as we expect, they certainly won't be the only ones!
