The "sparkle" cannot be missing from a woman's wardrobe. Every year Tessiland presents several items with lamé, with sequins in many colors and different compositions. But let's look at some details:
When we talk about lurex or lamé, we should think of the wonderful world of the 80s! Lurex outfits, dresses, bodices with gold lamé, silver lamé, blue lamé, black lamé, etc.
The Lurex name was registered in 1946 and represents a metallic yarn that goes to embellish natural or synthetic fibers making them glamorous and elegant.
The composition of lurex over the years has evolved a lot. Once lurex was made with metallic fibers not exactly comfortable on the skin, while today there are coated lamés capable of providing the same brightness of the old yarns made in laminated silk with much greater comfort.
It can be found as a complementary thread therefore intended to enrich yarns that do not have lamé inside or as a yarn already ready to use. This is the case of Tessiland Lamé which is presented as a very thin yarn to be combined with solid color yarns. Or yarns with a composition of microfiber and lamé like the Chuck Lurex for light creations with that touch of brightness. There are laminated tapes with a mix of viscose and metallic yarn like the KingLux designed to create shawls with lamé, lurex shawls, and shiny clothing items.
