There are many ways to call these particular closures. Some call them snap, others write clik clak or clip clap, but in the end they are the classic snap closures for wallets. It is also true that in recent years the evolution of handmade and in particular crochet have seen many proposals for these fun objects.

How to choose the right snap closure for my project?

Firstly, it is necessary to start from a creation idea that can be a purse, a wallet, a glasses case, a clutch or a real bag. From here the need to choose the size of this accessory from the smallest, around 4 centimeters, to the largest, up to 30 centimeters in width.

Then you can choose the design that is most suitable for our creation.

What are the types and characteristics of snap closures?

Starting for convenience and clarity from the smallest, we can find:

Snap keychain: fun snaps with a chain appendix and the traditional key ring. A very nice gift idea to have not only a cute keychain but also a small purse that can be useful, for example, to store coins and shopping cart passes.
Snap wallet: These are the classic 8.5 centimeter snaps. Made of metal, they have a decoration at the top that can be a colorful plastic ball or a particular metal shape such as bows, little fish or kittens. They are also widely used to make party favors. There are also snaps of this size made entirely of plastic for a more modern and casual look.
Snap for clutch: and here the list becomes really long both in terms of size and design. In this category fall snaps from 12 to 25 centimeters. We can find them in metal, but also in resin and even snaps with bamboo handles that have been popular in recent years.
Snap for bag: in this category fall all snaps with a size larger than 25 centimeters and for which you could also use an eco leather bottom to make it even more complete. Also here the designs are multiple and it is up to your taste to choose.

Which cord to use for snaps?
